Time for a new blog entry! Mmm, what to blog about? Aha!
I started playing guitar yesterday. I can play 6 chords so far and my fingers hurt like crazy! But it’s a lot of fun and I played my first song last night. Awesome God. Exciting! I am enjoying some time off after an incredibly busy, but blessed year. I’ve been thinking a lot about stuff that happened this year and how it totally spoiled us for the ordinary. I could never go back to who I was before. God did so much in my life. The words thank you sometimes seem so cliche! But it’s all I have-thankfulness- and a heart burning with love for my King.
I bought a book yesterday and it looks interesting so far. Red Letters. From what I’ve read so far, it’s about living like Jesus (hence the Red Letters=Jesus’ words) in today’s society. The first chapter spoke a lot about AIDS and I thought back on an AIDS awareness project we did about a month ago in Somerset East. The movie Beat the Drum and then a curriculum for high school students. Wow, the time in Somerset East was incredibly hard but in the end it was amazing to look back and see the breakthroughs. Heard some heartbreaking stories from that community and I just realized once again how everyone is affected by the HIV/AIDS crisis. It’s scary, actually. Gosh, I don’t even have words anymore… What’s going on?!
Oh well, so another blog entry has come to an end, seeing that I have run out of words…That happens every now and then!
